United States Artists (USA) is a grant-making organization dedicated to supporting America's finest living artists working in in a diverse array of disciplines. After decades of dwindling public support, artists now have a home where they may find significant private funding—unrestricted cash grants—to ignite the creativity that makes this country great. more 

Our Signature Program—USA Fellows Grants to Artists.
Annually 50 artists are named USA Fellows; each receives a $50,000 unrestricted grant. The program supports artists in all career stages, including emerging and mid-career artists, as well as established figures. The fellowships are awarded across a broad array of disciplines.  More

In a recent survey of attitudes toward artists in the US, a vast majority of Americans, 96%, said they were greatly inspired by various kinds of art and highly value art in their lives and communities. But the data suggests a strange paradox. More
