“I’ve always been fascinated by color,” says Gwendolyn Magee, an artist who creates vibrant quilts imbued with both brilliant hues and powerfully resonant images. “I can remember as a small child taking a crayon and digging it into the paper, trying to make the color red that I could see in my head.”
