Ms. Harris, a Chicago native, comes to USA with more than 20 years of experience in project management, fiduciary and administrative duties, financial statement preparation, treasury and finance systems upgrades and growth and expansion through team building. She began her career while attending the University of Illinois at Chicago, working as a fund accounting clerk at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center. She then worked for Goldblatt's Department stores as the Manager of Accounting for eight years.  Goldblatt's Department stores was a chain of local discount stores that operated in Chicago, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin from 1914 to early 2000.  Harris moved to the nonprofit sector and began working for the Academy of General Dentistry, a professional association of dentists from Canada and the United States, headquartered in Chicago. Founded in 1952, the academy has grown to become the second-largest dental association in the U.S., behind the American Dental Association (ADA).  She then began her fifteen-year tenure as the Manager of Finance with Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving healthcare quality, safety, cost-effectiveness and access through the best use of information technology and management systems. Ms. Harris has a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, a division of DeVry University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
