These ten artists run businesses and organizations in neighborhoods across Detroit, increasing community access to arts and culture programming. As the inaugural cohort of Seed and Bloom: Detroit Fellows, they will participate in a three-year program that includes direct funding, one-on-one mentorship, and related technical assistance. Please join us in congratulating them!
Seed and Bloom: Detroit is a new initiative created by the Gilbert Family Foundation and administered by United States Artists to support Detroit-based, BIPOC artists in growing their artistic practices into sustainable entities. By uplifting the voices and talents of BIPOC artists, founders, and creators, we strengthen existing artist-led arts organizations and businesses throughout Detroit and move the needle towards a more racially equitable arts and culture sector.
