Taking the form of a survey, Grazing: A Nationwide Study of Artists and Their Snacks, uses an overview of the 2020 Fellows’ snacking habits to explore the ways snacks connect the personal, the communal, and the ways we tell stories. Food is an access point to culture and personal history, and snacking offers a lens for shared human experiences that points us to the small, quiet moments that make up a whole life. In a world that demands constant motion, these smaller moments outside of mealtimes bring artists back to themselves.
