Paul Andrew Wandless is an artist, author, and educator. Wandless's sculptures and prints feature ceramic processes, printmaking methods, and a wide variety of sculptural techniques and mediums. Clay, printmaking, stone carving, leather working, mold making, and metalsmithing are mediums used in combination or individually to create his work.

His love of craft has led him to investigate and research these mediums to incorporate into his main body of works. This union of art and craft is what gives the work a unique voice for the narratives being shared. His research and experimentation is then shared through his scholarly activities of writing books and articles or giving hands-on workshops and demonstrations.

He has given over one hundred workshops regarding his art and techniques around the US. His clay work, prints, and sculptures have been widely exhibited since 1995. His work appears in eighteen books and is held in collections including the Racine Art Museum and the Tweed Museum of Art. He authored four books including Image Transfer on Clay, and co-authored Alternative Kilns & Firing Techniques and is a contributing author in ten books. He has more than thirty published articles, including The International Review of African American Art. Wandless is also featured in the DVD, Fundamentals of Screen Printing on Clay with Paul Andrew Wandless.
