Terence Blanchard

Terence Blanchard is one of the most influential jazz musicians of his generation and has established himself as a member of a jazz legacy that shapes the contours of modern jazz today. Blanchard, a top-tier jazz trumpeter, is a four-time Grammy winner with over 30 albums and 50 film scores to his credit and has composed for Broadway, opera and children’s theatre. Blanchard’s dedication to jazz education is unwavering. As the artistic director of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s jazz series, he curates concerts and participates in educational programs and community forums. He is also an artist in residence at the Berklee College of Music in Boston where he works with students on artistic development, musical arranging, and composition. Blanchard gives master classes around the world and works with communities in his beloved hometown of New Orleans.
