Toshi Reagon

the USA Board of Trustees.

Toshi Reagon is a talented, versatile singer, composer, musician, curator, and producer with a profound ear for sonic Americana—from folk to funk, from blues to rock. While her expansive career has landed her comfortably in residence at Carnegie Hall, the Paris Opera House, Madison Square Garden, you can just as easily find Reagon turning out at a music festival, intimate venue, or local club. Reagon knows the power of song to focus, unite, and mobilize people. In addition to touring as a solo artist and with her band Toshi Reagon & BIGLovely, Reagon is in production with several projects including The Blues Project with Michelle Dorrance and the opera Octavia E. Butler’s Parable Of The Sower. In 2011, Reagon created Word* Rock* & Sword: A Festival Exploration of Women’s Lives, which takes place annually in New York City.
